Barfield, John A.
John A. Barfield, CFRE, has 22 years of broad professional fundraising experience for a variety of organizations including Cincinnati Christian University, The Young Marines, the Universities of Cincinnati and Kentucky, Midway College, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, the American Heart Association, the Christian Benevolent Association of Greater Cincinnati and several churches and health organizations in the Kentucky and Ohio region. John’s experience includes annual fund, personal solicitation of major and planned gifts, board development, stewardship, fundraising database implementation and many other areas. He received his B.A. in communications with a focus in business from the University of Kentucky in 1984 and obtained his national designation as a Certified Fund Raising Executive in 1993. John has served as a Director on the Board of the Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is a member of the Greater Cincinnati Planned Giving Council. John joined Global Advancement in 2000 and directs Global's health division.
