Caldwell, Susan
Susan Caldwell, CFRE, has worked in nonprofit management and professional fundraising for 17 years. She served as Director of Resource Development at Southeast Community College in Cumberland, Kentucky, for eight years before being named Executive Director of the Blue Grass Trust for Historic Preservation in 2001. Susan earned her B.A. in English and communications from the University of Virginia and was awarded status as a Certified Fund Raising Executive in 1997. At Southeast, Susan led three major gift campaigns, raising more than $3.5 million and established the college’s first annual and planned giving programs. At the Blue Grass Trust, she developed a comprehensive resource development program that doubled annual giving donations and secured more than $600,000 in planned gifts. Susan also has an extensive background in journalism, public relations, museum and property management, special event coordination and nonprofit board development. As a highly successful grants writer, Susan has secured funds from Federal, private, and other public sources for her clients. Susan is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and currently serves on the Board of the Bluegrass Chapter. Susan joined Global Advancement 2004.
